Finding a niche

After my first post, some experimental photography(soon to come), and hours of playing around with this site I feel I’m starting to get the hang of it. My guess is that the experience and assumptions I had about how to create and build a blog platform would be similar to everyone else, however I see now I was focusing on the wrong thing. Now don’t get me wrong, I always knew having good content was kind of the main point of having a blog but i’m now starting to see that an amazing theme or a perfectly customised and coloured presentation isn’t as important as finding the community.

After comments left on other posts I like and following blogs that catch my attention i’ve realised the one thing that feels like progress on this blog is response, whether it be my current 1 follower or a like or view on a post, that is what makes writing here all the more worth it. Finding a community of people who are in the same boat as me or similar is such an important part of writing a blog and even just seeing that people from other parts of the word have viewed my blog makes me excited for the future of this space.

It is indeed early days but i’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t need to decide on one topic to write about and can simply use this as an outlet of opinions or feelings. While there will indeed be reviews on products and stories of events i’ve experienced, there will also be this, the usual ramblings and feelings I can’t help but plaster all over the internet.

Until next time, Chatterkiwi x
